Hi, I’m Chris Miller — Owner & CEO of Gittin Jiggy, based in Prairie City, Iowa.
I handcraft custom jig heads and soft plastic lures for anglers who value quality, creativity, and the satisfaction of catching fish on gear built by someone who truly loves the craft.

How It All Started
My journey began with a couple of lead jig-head and sinker molds. I quickly discovered how much I enjoyed melting, pouring, and painting jig heads — it became both a creative outlet and a relaxing escape.
I started making jigs for myself, and soon friends and fellow anglers began asking for them. What started as a hobby turned into producing batches, establishing pricing, and eventually… Gittin Jiggy was born.
After that, I picked up a basic soft-plastic kit just to see if I’d enjoy it — and I absolutely fell in love with the process. What started as a hobby became a full-blown passion.

What I Love About Making Baits
For me, it’s not just about the product — it’s about the feeling. I love the calm, hands-on experience of creating something from scratch, and even more, the excitement of seeing family, friends, and even strangers catching fish with my baits.
My lures have helped land:
•Walleye in Canada
•Catfish and multiple species in local fisheries
•Bass, crappie, and bluegill right here at home

Who Helps Me
While Gittin Jiggy is pretty much a one-man show, I’m lucky to have some special support:
•My wife came up with the name Gittin Jiggy
•My daughter created the Gittin Jiggy logo
•My family helps name colors and lure profiles

What Makes Gittin Jiggy Different
There are a lot of bait makers out there — I’m not here to claim I’ve reinvented the fishing world.
But when you buy from Gittin Jiggy, you’re buying directly from the hands that create every single piece.
Every jig is poured, painted, and inspected by me. Colors, patterns, and details are personal — and that’s something mass production can’t match.
